Cost

Your medical insurance MAY reimburse you for a portion of the costs of your STAR Retreat workshop. The total fee for your STAR Retreat includes housing, food, the program, and your individual sessions. As of January 1, 2017, the 10-day retreat costs $4,595, double occupancy. This includes all meals, shared rooms, four to six hours of therapy per day, all materials and art supplies, and ancillary activities. Partial scholarships, based on financial need, are available.

Additionally, round trip shuttle shuttle service is available to and from Tucson International Airport for a fee of $175, which is inclusive of shuttle coordination, booking, and gratuity to driver. If you require shuttle service, inform staff of this upon registration. Payment for shuttle service is due 30 days prior to retreat.

Individual rooms are only available (at an additional cost) if there is a documented medical need.

 

The Enrollment Process

To enroll, call our office at (520) 398-3105. We will be happy to answer your questions as well as arrange for you to speak with a member of our clinical team to discuss the program and help to ensure that a STAR Retreat is appropriate for you. A deposit of $800 is required to hold a space in an upcoming workshop. We advise that you wait to make your final travel arrangements until after confirming your acceptance with the STAR Foundation office.

Once you are enrolled, we will arrange for you to complete several online forms. Your balance of the workshop fee will be due, at the latest, 30 days before STAR. It is important to note that we enroll participants on a first come first serve basis. Your place is not guaranteed until all your forms are complete and you are paid in full.

Financial Aid

Partial scholarships, based on financial need, are available. Please call the STAR Foundation office for details regarding scholarships and other financing options.

Cancellation Policy

A deposit of $800 is required to reserve your space.

All cancellations are subject to the following policies:

If you cancel your attendance more than 30 days prior to the start of the workshop, your deposit, less a $250 administrative fee, will be refunded..

If you cancel your attendance between 14 and 30 days, inclusive, prior to the start of the workshop, your deposit, less a $250 administrative fee, may be transferred to another workshop of your choosing so long as it commences within 1 year of the start of the cancelled workshop. If you fail to select another workshop within 45 days of cancellation and/or if you cancel your attendance at the newly chosen workshop, the transferred deposit will be forfeited in its entirety.

If you cancel your attendance less than 14 days prior to the start of the workshop, your deposit will be forfeited in its entirety.

Program Transfers - Participants may request to be transferred to a later program no more than two times. Requests for transfers must be received in writing by our administrative office at least 14 days prior to the originally scheduled program date. A $100 TRANSFER FEE WILL BE ADDED TO THE BALANCE DUE.

Cancellations - If you should cancel 14 or more days prior to the start of the program, or if the program supervisor should deem the program inappropriate for you, your deposit, minus a $250 non-refundable application fee, will be refunded.

If you cancel less than 14 days prior to the start of the program, do not attend the program, are discharged from or leave early, you will not receive a refund.

Payment in full is due 30 days prior to the retreat.
