Shine Bright. Join us at Star.

Dear Friends,

As the new year begins, it provides a great opportunity to imagine the changes you want to manifest in your life.

It offers a moment to reflect upon where you have been, and where you want to go next. How do you want 2016 to be different? With every new beginning, you have the chance of renewal; a renewal of your commitments to yourself, your health and happiness, and the essential relationships in your life.

Let STAR be a pivotal part of the changes you want to make in 2016. By participating in a STAR retreat, you can take a giant step towards keeping your promises to yourself, and learning essential tools to help you break through old limiting patterns and habits. Take the first step with STAR and commit yourself to a healthier, more satisfying, and meaningful 2016.

Dear STAR Friends,

It is chilly here in Southern Arizona and snow is on the mountains. The heat is out in my adobe house. I am bundled up. It is also so beautiful.

Everything is moving along at a rapid pace here on Kenyon Ranch and with STAR. We have had several professionals visit who are very interested in our work. One is an American Buddhist Rinpoche who was born in New York City and has periodically been visiting Tubac to do his work with local people who are very enthusiastic about his work and teachings. He is renting the small Sunrise Casita in order to have his own place of sanctuary when he comes to Arizona. I will enjoy having him here as a neighbor. We have great conversations and laugh a lot. I cannot pronounce his official Buddhist name so he suggested Rinpoche Jerry, his American name. We are so happy he is here.

My book "Womb Prints" is at the printers. The psychology of the womb and birth is such a neglected subject. I was reading the magazine announcing one of my favorite conferences yesterday on the plane. The Psychotherapy Networker Symposium, which is full of great speakers, a wide – very wide range of subjects but there is not one about Pre and Perinatal Psychology. I might have missed it and some of the workshops and speakers might mention it. The title of the Symposium is “From attachment to creativity. Assessing our resources for change.” It saddens me that the very beginning of human life, which is one of the most powerful times of changes and development with life long consequences is ignored. Not just in this conference but in many.

One of the reasons I wanted to write a book showing how profoundly life in the womb, during birth and infancy influences later behavior, intelligence, health and yes, attachment issues is because it is so often ignored. We will let you know as soon as my book is available on Amazon.

We are excited about our February STAR Group. I am looking forward to leading groups again with Candace and Cheryl. We have some great new ideas regarding Family Sculpts and creative ways of communicating the essential wisdom of STAR to others; always from heart and feeling. The heart is the only way to reach the mind in a meaningful way.

I bought an electric sheet yesterday and really hope it works tonight. Wherever you are, I send you love and happy times with your inner child, the essence of your soul.

Dear Friends,

We have all been busy getting ready to offer Star on February 12th. Cheryl made the cross country move and we are thrilled that she is now a Desert Rat like us! I have been planning and talking to people about Star. Barbara is always busy and finished her book!

We still have spaces in the February workshop, so if you want to attend Star again or if you know someone who would benefit, please let us know. We will gladly connect with them to tell them all about Star. This is a great time to do Star because we will be raising the price for May.

I hope this finds everyone in good health and spirits after the Holiday Season. I had a sweet and wonderful Holiday with my daughter and grandson. My special word for the New Year is Miracles. I believe in miracles and I know I will see them this New Year at Star.

So Happy New Year and many blessings and Look for Miracles.

Greetings Everyone,

I wish I could describe how happy my New Year has begun. I left the East Coast shortly after the Christmas Holiday with my dear friend, Elaine. We drove three days straight cross country with my sweet dog Watson, and Music, the intrepid 23 pound cat. It was a wonderful adventure seeing this beautiful country and moving towards the New Year.

I am settled into my new home adjacent to the Ranch. Every morning I wake up to the most beautiful vistas and such a peaceful feeling. I have already met so many wonderful people who simple want to help and to support STAR.

The transition from the Florida location back home to Arizona has been very smooth and bodes well for the freshening and continuation of our work. The February STAR is filling up nicely and we would like to see a full group to kick our homecoming off.

STAR, for me is simply about internal and external change or transformation. Each of us has a part to play in the success of STAR and the ability to bring the gift of STAR to others.

My last year with the loss of my husband has certainly been a transformational one for me. What I know is that he would be so pleased that I am back home where I belong. He loved Barbara and they spent hours talking history, the rise and/or fall of civilization and any other topic under the sun. I have felt him on my shoulder smiling every step of the way.

There are so many people to thank for making this happen. A special thank you to our past Board members, Pat Martin, Patsy Lewellyn, and Chris Brandon for their guidance and wisdom during this transition. The new Board is so gifted, talented and enthusiastic and thrilled to be under Barbara’s leadership once again.

It takes a village to raise a child and our village is waiting for all of those who are ready to rediscover their true selves.

Peace and blessings from my house (my new living room is pictured above) to yours for a happy and prosperous new year,
