The STAR Process
Barbara Findeisen participated in a STAR program in the mid-1970s. As a licensed therapist, she had learned a great deal from her own personal and educational experiences. However, she felt something was missing. After taking STAR, her life made sense in a new way. She knew immediately that STAR was a powerful process and began conducting her own STAR workshops.
Over the years, Barbara has added to and modified the core STAR program to enhance and update it. Perhaps her most noteworthy contribution has been helping people to access and work on their earliest wounding and patterns. It is this aspect of the STAR Process that sets it apart from other similar programs. Through all Barbara’s changes, she has always steadfastly maintained a large staff. This insures each participant the individual attention and safety necessary for the life-changing work accomplished at STAR.
The STAR Foundation
In 1983, the STAR Foundation was incorporated, and in 1984 it was designated a 501 (c) (3) non-profit by the Internal Revenue Service.
Barbara was the Founder of the STAR Foundation. One of her first projects was to produce the video, Journey to be Born. The Journey to be Born and her subsequent video, The Psychology of Birth, both make a significant contribution to the world regarding the psychological impact of the experiences of both mother and child during pregnancy and birth.
Over the years, with Barbara at the helm, the STAR Foundation has impacted thousands of lives through the STAR Process.
